When it comes to her patients, Dr. Malini Hebbur follows the golden rule: Treat others as you want to be treated. Dr. Hebbur treats her patients like she treats her own children, and credits being a mom for her ability to communicate with perspective.
Patients and their families value her relatable and friendly manner and extensive medical knowledge. Dr. Hebbur has always been great with kids and loves working with them at Village Pediatrics, where every patient is provided with a medical home environment and the highest quality medical care.
Dr. Hebbur’s favorite part of her job is making a positive difference for families by helping their children live healthy lives. Prior to joining Village Pediatrics, Dr. Hebbur spent four years at Kaiser Permanente Texas and ten years at a private group practice in Plano. She is also part of the Texas Medical Association as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Hebbur attended Bangalore University in India and received her MD from the Oklahoma Health Science Center Children’s Hospital. She is board certified in Pediatrics.
In her spare time, Dr. Hebbur enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Arun, and two children, Chetan and Maya. She also loves cooking and going for walks. She has also been recognized as a Mom-Approved Doctor for 2012 by Dallas Child magazine.
For Dr. Chioma Okammor, being a pediatrician provides the opportunity to build relationships with children and their parents while helping them live healthier lives. Providing the highest quality health care possible is a top priority at Village Pediatrics, where Dr. Okammor’s extensive experience and positive attitude make her a perfect fit.
Dr. Okammor relates to her patient’s parents by understanding what it takes to balance work and child care as a parent of two young children herself. She considers it an honor and a privilege to help children meet their full potential, and help parents enjoy their parenting experience to the fullest. She is committed to keeping up with the latest medical knowledge in order to better advise her patients.
Dr. Okammor especially enjoys being able to be a part of the lives of so many children and families. Whether it’s a warm hug or a picture drawn for her by a patient, she treasures the moments she spends helping them in their time of illness and celebrating their accomplishments in times of wellness.
Prior to joining Village Health Partners, Dr. Okammor worked at a private group practice in Plano for over eight years. She received her M.D. from The University of Kansas and completed her Family Practice Residency at The University of Texas Southwestern/St. Paul. Her passion for pediatrics led her to return to The University of Texas to complete a Pediatric Residency as well.
Dr. Okammor is recognized as a board certified pediatrician by The American Board of Pediatrics and is also a part of the Texas Medical Association and Dallas County Medical Society. She spends her spare time cheering for her daughters at their various activities, as well as volunteering. Dr. Okammor and her husband are committed to raising their children to be good stewards of Christ and often help with Sunday School. She also enjoys cooking and learning new recipes, as well as discovering every Thai restaurant in town. Dr. Okammor was awarded the 2011 Compassionate Doctor Recognition from Vitals.com, and she was recognized as a Patients' Choice physician for 2012.
New to Village Pediatrics, Ashley Seitzer is a certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. Ashley has sought to become a nurse practitioner and to work with children her entire life; it is truly her passion. She feels as a provider, her goal is to help improve every child's health and wellbeing, as well as establish a strong relationship with their families. The ability to provide proficient and safe medical care for her patients is Ashley’s number one goal. As an advocate for her patients, she aims to also provide superior quality family teaching and education. Ashley is dedicated to Village Pediatrics’ top priority of providing the highest quality health care possible on a daily basis.
Ashley is also able to connect with patients and family on a personal level; she was born with a special heart defect, TGA, wherein she underwent four heart surgeries with the last one occurring at age fourteen. This experience has allowed her to understand and provide a special amount of empathy for her patients and their families with all aspects of their child's health.
Ashley graduated cum laude with a Bachelor in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin, School of Nursing. Following this, she spent the next six years working as an RN in the NICU in Austin, TX and cardiac ICU at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. She then graduated summa cum laude with a Masters in Nursing, specializing in pediatrics, from Texas Tech University, Health Sciences Center, School of Nursing. As a practitioner, Ashley has specialized in general pediatrics and developmental pediatrics.
Ashley has lived in Plano half of her life. She enjoys traveling, cooking, family time, outdoor activities, watching movies, zumba, and going to the lake. Newly married to her husband Joe Seitzer, an architect. They enjoy spending time together and experiencing new things every day. They are a very active couple and love spending time with family, friends, and their 3 fur-babies. During the summer, you will find Ashley and Joe boating, four wheeling, hiking, and camping. During the cold months in Dallas, they enjoy rock climbing, watching football, volunteering, top golf, and snowboarding. Throughout the year they enjoy visiting their condo in Destin, Florida and spending time with their big family.
